Humans of tomorrow: Problems and concerns of future technologies

This article will be divided into 3 parts to take time and try to explain the fundamentals of every technology treated, and not to overlook the array of problems that they can generate. This division has been made around the concept of the human body, his nutrition, and mental abilities and how we might look like in the near future.

First of all, let´s start with a human body by analyzing this technology and its potential: Human augmentation

What is human augmentation?

Human augmentation refers to technologies that enhance human productivity or capability, or that somehow enhance the human body. Some already available examples may be exoskeletons, sensory enhancement, or prosthesis that have the same functionality of the lost limb.

Human augmentation: problems and concerns:

There are humanitarian concerns regarding human augmentation for military use, and dangers connected to it. Firstly, the possibility that critical decision making may be affected (eg lethal force application). Secondly the misuse of this research to create new torture devices. lastly, the difficulty of informed medical consensus due to military secrecy and hierarchy.
